About
nina zeitlin
Nina Josette Zeitlin is an award-winning singer, voice actor, songwriter, producer, and piano entertainer based in Brooklyn, NY.
Described as a "first-rate vocalist" by Time Out New York, Nina has paved a unique path merging a vibrant recording career with playing interactive piano sing-along shows. Fostering her harmonious love for the studio and the stage, she’s known in both settings for her powerfully versatile voice, warmly dynamic delivery, and uniquely contagious laugh.
Nina performs at about 150 live events per year while building on her myriad of studio vocal projects that span virtually every popular style of music, as well as VO. Her voice has been featured on TV, film, and numerous commercial campaigns for brands such as CBS, Disney-ABC, The CW, HBO, Comedy Central, ESPN, MGM, A24, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Lipton, Budweiser, Heineken, Brahma, Captain Morgan, Drambuie, Martell, Dunkin' Donuts, Hormel, Play-Doh, Dawn, Citi, Vanguard, Volkswagen, Mazda, Fiat, Honda, Planet Fitness, Realtor.com, TurboTax, Ulta Beauty, L'Oréal, Moen, Rooms to Go, Costco, and Kohl's. She has sung on projects starring Patti LuPone, Maya Rudolph, Sarah Silverman, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Neil Patrick Harris, Barry Manilow, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, William Shatner, Cindy Crawford, and Cyndi Lauper. Her original songs have been licensed by VH1, OWN, NBC, The Daily Show, Chico's, and released by a string of labels globally.
Nina discovered the epically fun niche world of request-based dueling pianos about 5 years ago on a night out with friends in 2015. She had done solo piano bar residencies, and had always fancied playing impromptu sing-alongs, so she decided to give it a go. A year later she found herself playing her first dueling pianos gig. Fast forward to today, she plays several dueling and solo piano shows a week at venues throughout the northeast, as well as private parties & events of all kinds - fundraisers, company, holiday, birthdays, bachelor(ette), engagements, weddings, you name it!
Before dueling pianos, Nina traversed some other notable music adventures. She spent six outstanding years fronting her 6-person band Heylady and performing at NYC venues like The Bowery Ballroom and Brooklyn Bowl, opening for bands like George Clinton & the Parliament Funkadelic and Rebirth Brass Band, and winning the WNYC Brooklyn Battle of the Boroughs. One other stand-out project was producing and singing an eclectic family music album called King Pajama Something Sweet. Recorded at Nina’s Brooklyn studio, the songs have played on radio stations across the country, the album won a Parents' Choice Award, and it was named a Top Ten Best Kids/Family Album by Time Out New York and NPR.
Nina's always been vocal -- at age two she often serenaded her family with song lyrics she didn't understand, she’s always had an ear for doing some pretty stellar accents, and at her 6th grade talent show she played the piano and sang an original song called “Peace Should Be the Way of the World”. Later, at Wesleyan University (Go Wes!), she explored vocal styles as the singer for the Jazz Orchestra, soloist in the Gospel Choir, and lead in two cabaret productions. While there, she studied music and sociology so it’s no wonder she’s fond of anything involving music and people. When not engaging with people, piano or productions, she enjoys ping pong, poker, pool, pools, puns, parties, and ptravel.
Nina is currently playing a full live show schedule (see Events) and recording at both in-person sessions and remotely out of her home studio, which is Source-Connect enabled and features a Neumann microphone, Kaotica Eyeball sound isolation encasement, Mac/Logic, + an Apogee interface.

"Nina's voice brings color to your music. I can't think of a more accurate way to put it. As a producer/songwriter who works with a wide variety of material, I am very choosy when it comes to singers. I finally found the perfect voice. Nina's! Once you've found a voice that can make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end- you know you've found it. In additional to being a total pro who delivers the highest quality voice, Nina is also great at coming up with harmonies on the spot. I can't say enough about the absolutely pleasing tone that her voice has. If you're looking for a serious vocalist with serious versatility- then look no further. You've already found her."
